Finding Aids

In the context of archival research, a Finding Aid is a document containing detailed information about a specific collection of papers or records within an archive. Finding aids are guides that help researchers determine whether information within a particular collection is relevant to their research. Balochistan Archives has developed the Finding Aids to our collections based on survey work done earlier by teams of researchers. This has been supplemented by information in our own records. At the moment, these finding aids or guides are rather brief and we plan to develop more detailed finding aids in the future. These have also been placed in the relevant collection page on the Collections tab for the convenience of researchers and visitors.
